Strawberry Reservoir for the Salmon Run

For the last couple of years, our family has gone up to Strawberry Reservoir to watch those beautiful red Kokanee salmon participate in the salmon run. It's super fun, since there are people there who lift up the salmon out of the water so that wide-eyed, curious children like mine can touch them. Smoky the Bear always makes an appearance, too. And this year we ended the experience by going all the way to the reservoir for lunch. It was a beautiful, fun-filled day!

When Grace first saw Smoky, she jolted back to Mom and Dad until she figured out what was going on. :)
