Floating down the mighty Colorado!

One of the main highlights of this trip was a rafting trip on Saturday afternoon. Notice I did not say white water.....just rafting. The Colorado is large and majestic and LAZY. We took a shuttle bus up the canyon and pushed off. Oh wait...remember I'm 80? As we were carrying our raft down to the banks of the river, I rolled over onto my ankle and it HURT like crazy. Of course I was carrying stuff so I just had to keep going.

We got in the raft and the cool water combined with sitting made me forget about my sore foot. We floated down a short distance and then stopped for lunch. The guides have quite the system and the lunch was yummy.

Then off we went down the river. I started out in the kayak with Erica. Then we'd switch out as we went down. We had water wars and fights with other boats and then we'd just get out and swim. It wasn't an adventure by any means but it was FUN.

ME...in an Angela Sandwich

We got lots of sun and water! We got back, showered and went to have dinner at La Hacienda. The Mexican food was yummy....service was so-so.

Oh yeah...MY FOOT. Upon exiting the raft I discovered I could barely walk. My foot hurt terribly. I just kept limping on it and trying to nurse it along. Its funny how when you get hurt you gain 13 mothers. All were telling me to go to the hospital, doctor, urgent care, etc. I just went to bed. :)
