Disney's Animal Kingdom

Today we got up and decided to take the car into the parks since the shuttle turned out to be a less than pleasant experience. Cami still was not feeling well so she decided to sleep in and maybe meet up with us later. We went right to Disney's Animal Kingdom and arrived just as the gates were opening.

The Animal Kingdom is beautiful. The trees and landscaping give it a very non theme park feel. We started out with "Its Tough to be a Bug" 3d show which is delightful.

We hit the Dinosaur ride several times and it was so fun. We got scared every time because the dinosaur almost got us every time! The lines were short in the morning which was heaven. My new strategy for Disney World is get a ticket for several days...arrive when the park opens and then leave around noon or one because it just gets ridiculous by then.

Everest was a GREAT roller coaster. Its fairly new and was just a blast. We went on it twice throughout the day. Here's a video of us on the coaster....I know a lot of it is dark but it makes me laugh to hear us all laughing. The ride was GREAT.

This is Angela and I after the ride with our new Yeti friend!

Cami did end up joining us and we re did some of the rides but they were all worth it. To end our day at the Animal Kingdom we saw Finding Nemo - The Musical. It was GREAT. I LOVED it. The music was really fun, the singers were top notch, and it was just a fun show. Here are a couple of my favorite songs from the show. I did not video these so I apologize for some of the jumpy camera work.

Loved to hear your falsetto laugh on Everest! The guy singing for the turtle has a fabulous voice!
