Life at the Port Saint Lucie Resort - AKA Angela's parents' house

Why we have no pictures of this is beyond me but let me try and describe the experience we had staying with our new friends, the Days. They have a beautiful home set in neighborhood filled with wetlands and trees so it feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere. Out the back door is a beautiful pool...but not just a pool. The pool is covered by a "bird cage" which makes the whole pool area an enclosed patio. Here is a picture of a similar one. Apparently everyone in Florida has these due to the bugs.

Because of the "bird cage" the back door of the house was left open all the time and pool became almost an extension of the house. Angela's mom served us breakfast out there (I remember the french toast and feeling like I was at a resort). We also had dinner out there and of course we swam in the pool a few times though Angela always thought it was too cold. The pool area was just a nice place to retreat to with a book, with a meal or just to take a dip. Angela's parents were GREAT hosts and truly treated us like King and Queens! We are very thankful to them for opening their home to us for our vacation!
