We arrived late Friday night, having left after work. We were thankful when we arrived. Uncle Roger's house looks very magnificent at night all lit up at the top of a hill in the woods.
We woke up the next morning to fantastic breakfast from Aunt Jackie and then we went for a tour of the area taking in both McCall and Cascade as well as Tamarack Resort. Unfortunately spring had not really hit this part of Idaho yet and it was still very chilly!
Suz and I by the lake in McCall
After our adventures in town we relaxed at the house for a while and then Uncle Roger hooked up the zip line! We had tons of fun riding down the hill by his house and laughing the whole time. 4 adults zipping down the hillside! :)
Suz and I on the front porch..enjoying the nice afternoon!
I got some video of each of us down the zip line...even Uncle Roger! His is turned sideways and I couldn't rotate it...so turn your head when you watch his.
Here's ME!!!

and Suz...turn your sound up for this one and you can hear her screams as she careens down the mountain!
And here's Roger (sorry its sideways)

After our zip line adventures, Uncle Roger took us to the most relaxing natural hot springs. Gold Fork Hot springs, I high recommend them. Beautiful setting and the water was awesome. The temp outside was perfect for the warm water.

We went back for dinner and went to bed fairly early because we'd gotten to bed so late the night before....but not before I got my first kiss from Suzanne! Needless to say...it was worth the wait! :)
The next morning was Mother's Day. We sang in Uncle Roger's cute little branch and it went pretty well. Suz was very nervous but she sang beautifully! We sang "I Often Go Walking" together and I sang "An Angel to Watch Over Me" which was hard to get through because the words reminded me of my own sweet mother! Here they are!!!
I love you sweet Mother! After church we packed up and drove home, stopping at Megi's new house in Burley to say hi and her mother in law served us up some nice dessert! It was a fun trip overall...short and lots of driving but packed and fun. Thanks to Uncle Roger and Aunt Jackie for being such great hosts!

She watched by my cradle through long, sleepless nights
She taught me to pray as she knelt by my side
She guarded my childhood, and all through the years
She echoed my laughter, she counted my tears
In the arms of my mother, I came to believe
That God sent an angel to watch over me
She taught me the meaning of courage and faith
She taught me to live with the Lord as my strength
She taught me to follow the pathway he marked
She guided my steps when the journey grew dark
And I know there were dangers that I could not see
But God sent an angel to watch over me
She taught me to serve with a spirit that sings
She taught me to seek after heavenly things
And because of her love and her kindness and care
Because of the place that I hold in her prayers
And because of her goodness, I still believe
That God sent an angel to watch over me
She taught me to pray as she knelt by my side
She guarded my childhood, and all through the years

Wow, great photos and video. Loved it! And thanks for your sweet loving words.
Boyce, it was divine intervention that this post wasn't posted until today. My friend's mother passed away this week and her funeral is Friday. I just received a call from my sister, who is accompanying the musical numbers, wondering if I knew of a song about mothers to be sung at the funeral. This one is absolutely perfect. The Lord truly works in mysterious ways when Blogger is answering prayers! Thank you!
FINALLY SOME UPDATES FROM YOU! :) I have sung that Mother's Day song with Shannon (and Lindy?) before and it is a tough one to get through...I'd still like to hear you try though...:)
The zip line looks like so much fun!
