Suzanne and I went to the Utah State Fair. There's something about the fair that is just fun and captivating. Upon entering the gates we were greeted by this couple singing and performing for the crowd. It was fun and festive so we took a picture!
Suzanne and I did ride a few rides and felt like we were 12. It was a LOT of fun. We ate YUMMY bbq turkey from Sanpete County (Thanks Cami & Mica) for dinner and then we were off to the expos and the animals. I'm always dissappointed in the exhibits here. Suzanne put it best by saying, "It feels like that was just a bunch of junk". Its true it was.
THEN we saw the animals. There's something about pigs that are just fun. I don't know what it is but I love them.

This pig is HUGE. You can't really tell from the pic cuz he kept moving but he is HUGE. Trust me. Suzanne was worried that he would be teased by his peers! :)
The big pig's wife and kids were in the pen next door. Aren't the babies just cute?
As you can see the pigs are sleeping snout to bum. Several of the pigs were sleeping like this so I had to take a picture. Its kind of gross....but endearing at the same time. Isn't that cute?
We also saw cows, sheep and goats. We also saw the HUGEST steer I'd ever seen. His name was big red and he was so gentle.
This pic below is one of my favorites. He started to move and it startled Suz quite a bit. She's so cute! Look how little she looks next to Big Red!

We also saw lots of adorable bunnies and wanted to take one home but we resisted. We ended the evening with some cinnamon roasted almonds. Ahhh the fair! Until next year.....
