Dessert anyone?

So my friend Nicole reminded me of an experience we had together a few weeks ago. She shared the experience with her family and they enjoyed it so I figured I would share it here.

This is a picture of Nicole and I on a date last fall. This was a memorable one!

So a few weeks ago Nicole and I went to dinner but were both in the mood for patio dining. We quickly discovered that there were really no restuarants in the area with outdoor dining. It was such a nice night. We decided to drive to the south and see what we could find in Springville, Spanish Fork, etc. We arrived in Payson and still hadn't found the perfect spot. By this time we were starving so we decided to eat at Dalton's in Payson. I'd been there once before and it was good so we ate there. We had a good dinner (though Nicole's pork chops were a little tough) and then decided we wanted dessert. We had the option of choosing from the dessert menu or looking at the dessert case and choosing something from there.

We chose the brownie sundae and it was the biggest brownie sundae we'd ever seen and it was SO GOOD. It was also huge. We kept meaning to stop but eventually we ate the WHOLE thing. We couldn't believe it and we were both regretting it.

Nicole got up to go use the restroom. After a moment I looked up only to see Nicole checking out the dessert case. I started laughing out loud because we'd both been complaining about how full we were yet Nicole was distracted by the desserts in the case. I called her name and she quickly realized what she was doing and began to laugh. A waitress nearby also caught wind of what was happening and quietly laughed to herself. We laughed together about it the rest of the night. Maybe you had to be there...but we thought it was funny!
