Labor Day in MOAB!!!

Andrea, Boyce, Chuck, Desiree under Landscape Arch, Arches National Park

Well I have a group of friends who like to go on trips together occasionally. Last year over Labor Day we went to Zion and hiked the Narrows and Angel's Landing. This year we decided it was time to visit Moab.

My friend Angela and I did most of the planning and got a small group of great friends together. We found a great spot to stay. We got two cabins and a campsite because we did the planning a little late for a holiday weekend.

We arrived on Friday. A few of us arrived early and checked into the cabins, got the tent set up for those that were staying in the campsite and explored our "home" for the next few days. The cabins were nice. The girls had a cabin with a full size bed, a queen, and a set of bunkbeds, The guys cabin just had a queen and bunkbeds. Both had fridges, microwaves and tvs. Very clean and nice. The downside was a large common bathroom for the campground but it was clean and the showers were nice and never seemed to get too crowded. There was also a pool where Andrea and I hung out that night waiting for all of our friends to arrive. The hot tub was heavenly and felt really good because.....OH I forgot to mention that I turned 80 in Moab. I got this weird crick in my back so I went and got some icy hot and then moaned with pain/relief as the jets from the hot tub worked it out a bit. It did get better.

Having breakfast on Saturday morning. I don't know what I'm sipping here. Looks like it was good!

Most of our group arrived sometime that night but some didn't come until the next morning. On Saturday a few people went biking while Andrea, Desiree, Chuck and I decided to hike through Arches and see some of the arches in the park. We had a LOT of fun. The weather was perfect though it did start to get a little warm.

Me under an arch! Andrea and I enjoying the lovely scenery!

I love all the cool formations in the rock here. Desiree, Boyce and Chuck
