I used to think they called it March Madness because of all of the madness with basketball games. Lots of games, lots going on...you know...madness...mayhem...etc. I learned this year why its really called madness. Now I'm not a basketball diehard. I do enjoy college basketball, mostly BYU but I do enjoy it. I'm not religious about it and I don't have to watch sportscenter every night.
Last year, my brother in law Ty invited the family to join in on a March Madness bracket so we did. I LOVED it and I ended up winning which I was super excited for. So this year I was excited to fill out my bracket again. I didn't "study" as much this year so I didn't do nearly as well. As the tournament went on and on I kept telling myself it was ok as long as I beat my other siblings. Then I would say....well as least I'm beating my brothers.
Well I did beat my brothers which is very good because if you've met my brother Jerel then you know he takes bragging rights to a whole new level. He still brags about high school achievements and isn't he like 40 years old now? :) So I was happy to beat Jerel in the end though he had me scared for a little while.
The tournament ended and I was sad to see that my top two didn't make it. After Kansas beat Memphis I logged on to our bracket one last time to see what happened in the end. I still beat my brothers, but to my dismay my sister Shannon finished number ONE. Now I love my sister but she doesn't really follow basketball AT ALL. So now I have an even better definition for madness....having your little sister beat you! But hey...I still beat my brothers! Until next year....
