We had a very relaxing and fun Halloween night. Last night we carved a jack-o-lantern and Suz admitted to actually enjoying it. Apparently they're more fun to make when you're married then at a singles FHE
Tonight we relaxed at home waiting for trick or treaters. I bought a good amount of candy and promised Suz it would all be gone. Well two hours and only 5 trick or treaters later we decided to call it a night and head out for some of our own Halloween fun.
In the midst of the trick or treaters we got our own little plate of goodies. Somebody "Boo'd" us and left us some yummy cupcakes and cookies! How fun is that?
I'd been pestering Suzanne to go to a haunted house and she finally gave in. After researching online we chose "The Dreaded Grove" in Pleasant Grove. The ambience for the night was perfect. It was out by Utah Lake in the middle of nowhere, the night was overcast and drizzly. We had to wait a long time but it was well worth the wait. We entered and just walked down the path amongst the trees. I love outdoor haunted houses because the ambience is so real. There's no decorating or fake stuff....just your imagination running wild wondering whats going to come out from behind the next tree.
The goblins loved getting right in Suzanne's face and she about twisted my arm off going in circles around me to get away from them. There is only one thing that absolutely paralyzes me in haunted houses. I love the goblins and the spooky things jumping out at you. I just can't handle the chainsaw! At one point we entered a small shack and couldn't see because of a bright light at the other end. Pretty soon in the shadows a man appears and fires up a chainsaw....talk about tingles down my spine. I didn't move for a while until I felt Suz pushing me from behind and we were off. Another scary moment was a dugout we had to enter....but we didn't want to go in...because a dog was barking from within and he sounded mean. It was actually a man who sounded very much like a dog...scared us to death. We loved it and will probably go back again next year! The website is pretty cool. Check it out by clicking here.

What a fun Halloween! You won't find me in those places. My imagination is way too active. Nope! No way! Never!
I also love spook alleys. My husband only goes for me and only when we were dating and first married. Of course a lot of stuff gets dropped once you have kids. I am totally the same way with chainsaws. They even creep me out when I'm not in a spook alley and we own one and my husband uses it regularly.
Next year maybe we should go to that same one with you guys.
