We woke up super early this morning to catch our flight out of SLC. Our hostess Tammy at the B&B was so great and got up early to make us a yummy breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon with toast and orange juice. We met Suzanne's sister Kathleen and her boyfriend at the airport since they were flying out as well. We chatted for a while and then leisurely continued on our way to the plane. Well, we took it a little too leisurely. Our plane was 10 minutes away from taking off and I guess that means they take your seats away. Sadly we had to fly the first leg of our honeymoon separate. It was so sad having to turn around and see my wife a few seats back. We flew first to Atlanta and then into San Juan.
Upon arriving in San Juan we took a taxi to our hotel which was very close by. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Isla Verde. It is in a beautiful location right on the beach. Upon check in I made sure to tell the girl we were on our honeymoon. She immediately found us an ocean view room on the 12th floor. Our room was very nice and comfortable with a balcony that promised a great view in the morning. We had dinner in the hotel which was fun. There was salsa music playing and lots of people dancing. Quite the happening place. We also explored the beautiful beach outside and took a dip in the pool and hottub. It was a relaxing evening and promises to be a great week! Ahhh Puerto Rico!
Here are a few pics of us on the beach in front of the hotel. They aren't the greatest pics because of the light ( or lack thereof) but gives you a general idea of the gorgeous night we enjoyed. The hammocks lined the beach in front of the hotel. The ocean water was the perfect temp. The third pic is Suz in front of our hotel at night.
